Overall. A great reel for northeast USA fishing. I am currently using it with a jigging world night ranger and fishing blackfish for it. The power knob saves you about 30 dollars if you were to buy it separately. The reel itself is very light for it’s sized and it can handle the fight of these tautog without any complaints.

Update- After 3 weeks and over 300 casts: buttery smooth and flawless. Caught some bass ,no issues with drag . I'm waiting to see how it performs on the 15 kg salmon running these next few weeks , and maybe a monster muskie.

Shipping only take a week from Japan to east coast, US. Smooth and fast reeling. The best of Vanford is very light weight with compact 5000 reel and 7+1 wheel bearings made it smooth. Price is acceptable. Highly recommend to own one. You will not disappointed.

Took less than 3 days to arrive , no surprise.. have not had chance to use yet , but considering the company and location....I suspect it's a masterpiece, read all the reviews before anyway . Hat's off Asian Fishing Portal!

Reel is smooth as butter but a bit smaller in size compared to usual 5000 size reels. Shipping was fast, highly recommended and will most likely buy again from asian portal.
